The challenge for January was to choose seven core items of clothing each week and create five outfits from those seven items. Accessories help mix it up. It also helps to take a vacation day from work on Friday and really only have to create four outfits. Score.
My seven items for week 1 were:
- Rockstar jeans
- American Eagle jeans
- Turquoise button up shirt from Old Navy
- Brown flowy vest thing from Maurices
- Tan and white dress by Jessica Simpson from Ideeli
- Black blazer from JC Penney’s
- Tan sweater from…umm, I don’t know. Maybe TJ Maxx?
Rockstar jeans, turquoise button up, brown flowy vest thing
Black blazer, tan and white dress – accessories include my new maroon ribbed tights from Forever 21 and my favorite BOC boots.
American Eagle jeans, tan sweater, and turquoise button up. And my new brown wedges from Ideeli.
Brown sweater, black blazer, and Rockstar jeans. Shoes are my Sperry’s, scarf was a gift from K’s mom (a few Christmas’ ago), and hat (which I LOVE) was a birthday gift from her last week.
I would have been hard pressed to put together a fifth outfit for Friday, which means I’ll need to be more careful in selecting my seven items next week. When, for the first time in about three weeks, I’ll be force to work a full five. day. work. week. Ughhhhh. Woe is me, I know.
My oh-so-stylish neighbor did a much better job of putting outfits together for the week.
