The day started out warm enough, but mid-afternoon it became chilly. The wind began to swirl leaves – past the point of being pretty reminders of autumn – in gusts and the sun went into a sudden hibernation.
[Speaking of hibernation, I think bears have the right idea. Think about it – they eat whatever they can lay their paws on to fatten up and build some natural insulation, then they get to nap all winter, and wake up skinny and warm. And cranky, but really, I wake up cranky pretty much every morning anyway, so what’s new?]
And speaking of bears…. Cold, windy days remind me of a Pooh video I owned as a kid – Pooh and the Blustery Day.
I may as well dive into the blustery day spirit and find a jar of honey. Or a bag of mint Oreos.
